With the recent power system challenges we’ve had in Alberta during extreme cold conditions, I thought it may be helpful to provide an explanation of how the power system operator manages the grid during emergency conditions and provide some suggestions on how people can help reduce power demand during these conditions. These apply in both extreme cold and extreme hot conditions.
Good information, thanks.
It’s a cold sinking feeling on a Saturday night, sitting mostly in the dark and hoping things work out.
Doesn’t seem like civilization to me.
Reminds me of the joke;
“Daddy, what did we use to read by at night before candles? Electricity.”
